Right in the centre of London’s “Tech City”, The Atlas at 145 City Road makes the most of its location and footprint. The distinctive landmark mixed-use BREEAM Excellent development – which is made up of a 152m tall 40-storey residential tower and 10-storey office building above a single level basement on a confined and constrained site near the Old Street “Silicon Roundabout” – required extensive engineering design of temporary works and PT slabs.

Our PT team achieved an excellent design, revolving around a bonded flat duct system and thin 200mm thick PT floor slabs designed to suit the cladding system’s deflection limits. Early engagement allowed us to improve the design and buildability of the balconies.
