Sustainable, smart design sums up the landmark One Broadgate mixed use development which comprises over 50,000m² office and retail spaces and targets BREEAM Outstanding. The 14-storey project aimed to reduce whole life cycle carbon emissions and deliver zero operational carbon through adoption of circular economy, low carbon concrete, advanced energy modelling and collaboration between trades.

Our primary temporary works challenge involved the stability and constructability of a 76m high core using slipform as the core was made up of four decoupled cores in the temporary condition which could not be slipformed full height.
